* Rose Garden Chippubetsu is located on the hill in the country area.
The top of the hill overlooks the grand fields of Hokkaido.
Chippubetsu itself is a rose town. In the center of the town, you can see standard roses alongside the main street.
However, as it is a northern town of Hokkaido, it is very difficult to preserve roses in winter.
So they have to dig out roses, put each roses into special pots one by one
and keep them in the hothouse all through winter.
The splendid rose garden in summer is the result of the splendid efforts.

Rose Garden

There are 200 varieties of roses including species, old roses and modern roses.

Rose garden overlooks the country area.
You may see roses and have a picnic here.

They preserve roses in a special way in winter. Roses are dug out, put into special flower pots and kept in the hothouse, sleeping under the moderate temperature control.
