Rose catalog II

********

These are my favorite roses of this season. As for Heritage and Graham Thomas, I thought they were too popular to buy and grow. But this year I got both at last and now I absolutely changed my idea. They have good reasons for their popularity. They are not only beautiful, but healthy and easy to grow.

Heritage, Austin 1984
Now I understand the reason
for its popularity.
Transparent pink.
Noble shape and fragrance.
White flowers are Foxgloves.

Graham Thomas, Austin 1983
A blue flower is Salvia Tesquicola.
Yellow and blue are good companions.
Blush Noisette, Noisette 1825
This rose is said to be a climbing rose,
but here in Hokkaido it doesn't grow so tall.
Laura Ashley, Warner 1990
This flower reminds me of the English countryside.
They actually look like the patterns of
dresses of "Laura Ashley".
Angel Double
I call them the smallest rose flowers.
They remind me of the fairy roses, if they may exist.
